Carrie GeeCarrie realized she was a typographic devotee when she was helping choose a new font for use in her college newspaper some years back. “It took DAYS to pick just the right new font,” she said. “And of course, it was from Font Bureau.” Since her days of studying art and journalism at Michigan State University, she has pursued a life enriched with a love for design. Having worked alongside talent from magazines and newspapers across the country, she has been recognized by SPJ, SND, and AIGA for individual and collaborative projects. Carrie finally landed in Boston with her design savvy husband Martin and their two (well designed) cats. She joined Font Bureau in 2011 as a graphic designer working with the marketing team. She also keeps herself busy as a designer for Ready-Media, and Art Director for Edible Vineyard magazine. When she’s not designing something, you can find Carrie carving linoleum block print illustrations, collecting antique type, riding her bicycle, or cooking epic breakfasts. |
