When Entertainment Weekly debuted in 1990, Bureau Grotesque was part of the original cast, including the logo (uncapitalized until 1992). Several styles in the family were originally custom designs specifically for the magazine. This distinctive sans serif helped define EW’s look for more than a decade, through several design updates.
