Miller HeadlineIn 1997, Font Bureau released Matthew Carter’s Miller Text and Display, reviving typefaces cut in the early 19th century by Richard Austin in London for foundries in Glasgow — some of the first typefaces designed with newspapers in mind. The revival’s immediate popularity with newspapers lead to narrower custom headline styles for papers including the Boston Globe, organized by Carter and Cyrus Highsmith as Miller Headline; FB 1997–2002 Miller Headline is part of the Font Bureau Readability Series and will soon be available for purchase via our website at retail pricing. In the meantime, please call 617-423-8770 or email us to place your order.
Among other uses, Miller Headline is recommended for Newspaper, Magazine, Book and Corporate use. |
