Whitman
The Whitman family consists of four styles: Roman, Italic, Small Caps, and Bold — the classic “book quartet” — each with both oldstyle and lining figures. Inspired by classic 20th-century text faces like Caledonia, Electra, and Joanna, designer Kent Lew has crafted a thoroughly contemporary typeface with good old-fashioned typographic values. Crisp features and sturdy structures ensure clarity for the reader. Careful attention to typographic details provides consummate utility for the designer. Useful for books and magazines, or just everyday text, Whitman provides a fresh, plain-spoken character with a touch of quiet grace.
