Prensa

24 Styles

Spanish for press, Prensa is a new series from Cyrus Highsmith. He arrived at the character of this family by wrapping outside curves around the inside, deliberately creating tension by opposing the two. The twentieth-century master W.A. Dwiggins introduced the technique in 1935 with the bookface Electra. This form of tension produces a truly vital simplicity in Highsmith’s Prensa, particularly in the italics.
