First commissioned by The Washington Post, Bureau Roman revisits Morris Fuller Benton’s 1909 Century Oldstyle, popular descendant of Miller & Richard Oldstyle cut by Alexander Phemister in 1860. Working to preserve copy fit on ever-shrinking pages, David Berlow, assisted by Cyrus Highsmith, has expanded this family into Font Bureau’s second Readability Series, offering choices between the five closely spaced grades; FB 1997–2000
