Type Network + Font Bureau

Font Bureau is a founding member of Type Network, a new model for type design, development, licensing, and use. Owned and operated by type designers, Type Network features a common catalog and shopping cart offering fonts from Font Bureau and other member foundries.

Font Bureau’s current licenses, with no changes to existing terms, are now served through Type Network.

Systematic variation of Art Deco capitals in Cassandre’s posters led to Anisette. Rich contrasts in width and weight of hand-lettered geometry suggested a hidden typographic opportunity. In 1930, Deberny & Peignot released Banjo Initials, adapting a hairline weight for two widths of type. Jean-Francois Porchez completed the typographic system with a five-weight series of striking geometric beauty and great complexity; FB 1997
