An upcoming trip to Japan has revived a not-very-dormant interest in tokusatsu. In a recent sketchbook, I drew the characters for 'kaiju', which translates as monster. In the process, some of the counter forms disappeared—perhaps destroying legibility. We must flee!

touch of lettering

Providence’s Cable Car Cinema commissioned me to create a poster for their screening of Orson Welles' revenge flick, Touch of Evil. It’s a big three-color screen print and it’s available from Tiny Showcase.
