An upcoming trip to Japan has revived a not-very-dormant interest in tokusatsu. In a recent sketchbook, I drew the characters for 'kaiju', which translates as monster. In the process, some of the counter forms disappeared—perhaps destroying legibility. We must flee! NEWS · May 14, 2012typecache
